MCP Pylot for OpenClaw

Your OpenClaw agent, now posting on-brand

Add Pylot to OpenClaw and your personal agent can make social posts on its own schedule. Pylot writes them in your brand voice, makes the images and drafts them into your calendar.

Set up in a minute

Connect OpenClaw to Pylot

  1. In Pylot, open Settings → API keys and create a key. It starts with pyl_live_.
  2. Run the command above to add the server.
  3. Add the key as a header on that server, under mcp.servers.pylot in your config: headers: { Authorization: "Bearer ${PYLOT_API_KEY}" }. You can also set it in Settings → MCP in the Control UI.
  4. Run openclaw mcp doctor pylot --probe to check that it answers.

Try asking

Ask for the post, not just the schedule

OpenClaw asks, Pylot makes it: captions in your brand voice, images in your colours with your logo, then a draft or a scheduled post in your calendar.

“Make three Instagram posts for this week about what's new on our website, each with a brand image, and schedule them for 9am Tuesday to Thursday.”

  • generate_captions in your voice
  • generate_image your colours
  • create_post draft or scheduled
Prompt 1

OpenClaw sends the request; Pylot writes, designs and drafts. You see the posts in your calendar.

“Write a LinkedIn post about the review a customer left us yesterday, make a square image for it, and leave it as a draft.”

Prompt 2
  • generate_captions
  • generate_image
  • create_post

“Create a Facebook post for our late-night opening this Friday with a 4:5 image, and schedule it for Thursday at 5pm.”

Prompt 3
  • generate_captions
  • generate_image
  • create_post

Drafts unless you give a time

Captions are free. Images use 1 credit each, refunded if generation fails.

Questions

Pylot for OpenClaw, answered

How do I add Pylot to OpenClaw?

Add a streamable HTTP MCP server named pylot with Pylot's MCP URL, then give it an Authorization header with your key under mcp.servers.pylot.headers. openclaw mcp doctor pylot --probe checks the connection.

Will the posts sound like my business?

Yes. generate_captions writes in the brand voice Pylot learned from your website, and generate_image applies your colours, logo and style automatically. Your agent asks for the post; Pylot makes it on-brand.

Can OpenClaw publish without asking me?

Not by accident. create_post always makes a draft unless you give it a time, so posts land in your Pylot calendar first. Going live right away needs publish_post with confirm set to true, and that tool is marked destructive so the client can ask you before it runs.

What does it cost?

Captions are free. Each generated image uses 1 credit from your plan and is refunded if generation fails. Drafting, scheduling and publishing are free. The key uses the same plan, limits and credit balance as your dashboard.
